The Amarillo Youth Choirs organization offers two annual camps. In January, the one-day Vocal Camp provides voice, acting, sight-reading, rhythm, vocal pedagogy, and choral singing lessons to approximately 150 children throughout the community. Local artists and teachers are brought in to work with the students in group and individual settings. The one-week Music Theory Camp, held during the first week of August and taught by the AYC artistic staff, divides the students into three different classes, beginning theory, intermediate theory, and advanced theory teaching students how to read music at a more advanced level.
Stay tuned for dates and how to apply for the next camp!
