TODAY – CANDY BAR FUNDRAISER – Optional fundraiser – January 10, 2017 thru January 31, 2017
We will begin our World’s Finest Chocolate candy bar fundraiser today. This fundraiser will last three weeks. If you would like to participate, a parent/guardian must sign for a box of candy at rehearsal. In each box there are 60 candy bars to be sold for $1 each. Your future tour account will be credited with 50% of the sales. You will be allowed to check out only one box of candy at a time; however, you may prepay for additional boxes. All monies/candy bars must be returned no later than Monday, January 30th. You will return any unsold candy bars along with the monies collected, totaling up to $60 per box checked out. You may turn in $60 cash or two checks for $30 each, made payable to Amarillo Youth Choirs, as per our fundraising policy. We at the office would greatly appreciate more bills and less coin if at all possible. Checks can be made payable to Amarillo Youth Choirs.

Vocal Camp 2017 – Saturday, February 4th, 2017 — NOTEWORTHY
The annual AYC Vocal Camp will be held Saturday, February 4th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S. Western. The fee to attend will be $30 for those who register before January 20th, and $35 for those who register after that date. The fee includes the cost of lunch and a t-shirt. In addition, 15-minute voice lessons are available for an additional $10. Registration forms are attached to this week’s Weekly Note and may also be obtained from the AYC website, www.amayouthchoirs.org. For more information, contact Mary Katherine Duvall at (806)674-6717 or aycvocalcamp@gmail.com. We are in need of around 30 volunteers to assist with the Vocal Camp to serve as Group and Voice Lesson monitors from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Group monitors will stay with a group of 25-30 students and escort them to each session. Voice Lesson monitors will be responsible for escorting individual students to their lesson with a private instructor and back to their class. If you can only work for part of the day, please do not hesitate to volunteer, as we are grateful for any help we receive. We appreciate our volunteers: you make Vocal Camp run smoothly and safely. Contact Mary Katherine Duvall, as listed above, to volunteer.

ABSENCE OR TARDY CONTACT – Please contact Angela Stebbins if your son will be absent; tardy; or need to leave early from rehearsal or an event. Angela’s email is: angela@amayouthchoirs.org and her cell number is (806)674-0971. If you are not receiving the weekly notes by email, please contact Angela and let her know. Thanks.

FUNDRAISING POLICY
The Amarillo Youth Choirs Board of Directors adopted a fundraising structure whereby AYC will provide the materials/products for the stated optional fundraisers. However it will be the parents/family’s responsibility to track and maintain each individual student’s orders. Each family will collect the monies made from the fundraisers and then will write two checks to AYC. The first check will cover the fundraising products to be ordered. The second check will then be a tour deposit on behalf of the child. FOR EXAMPLE, a student sells $100 worth of cookie dough at a 50% profit. The parent would collect the money (with checks made payable to the family/parent). The parent would then write AYC a check for $50 purchasing the cookie dough. AYC would then order the cookie dough on behalf of the family/parent to distribute. The parent would also write AYC a check for $50 as a tour deposit.

PICKUP / DROP OFF AT SSUMC
The AYC pickup and drop off location at St. Stephen Church is on the backside (west side) of the church on Buffalo Street. You may either park in the lot provided or along the curbside on Buffalo. Please do not stop in the parking lot unless you are in a parking spot so that other cars may continue through. If you are having someone pick up or drop off for you, please let that person know. Thank you.

This is a friendly reminder that no food, drinks, gum, or pets are allowed in the Saint Stephen UM Church building. This includes parents, guardians, and siblings. SSUMC generously allows us to use the facility free of charge. Let’s return the favor by keeping it clean. We appreciate your cooperation. However, you and your child are allowed to bring a water bottle. Just make sure it has a lid. Thank you.
