The Amarillo Youth Choirs organization offers two annual camps.
"Raise Your Voices" Summer Camp
The one-week choir camp, held during late July/early August and taught by the AYC artistic staff, divides the students into three different classes: beginning theory, intermediate theory, and advanced theory teaching students how to read music at a more advanced level. The students also learn sight-reading techniques and new choral music and then give a concert at the conclusion of camp. This camp is an opportunity to get a jump-start on the season, meet new friends, and have fun while learning!
"Raise Your Voices" Winter Camp
The first weekend in February, the one-day vocal camp provides voice, acting, sight-reading, rhythm, theory, and choral singing lessons to approximately 150 children throughout the community. Local artists and teachers are brought in to work with the students in group and individual settings.
